Part of Dixie National Forest
This small campground with only four sites provides easy access to Thunder Mountain Trailhead. This trail is a very popular hiking, biking, horseback riding trail. Anyone can stay in this campground; there is no condition that you must have a horse. This quaint little campground sits in ponderosa pine forests on the beautiful Paunsaugunt plateau with easy access to many sightseeing locations and trail systems.

Unpredictable secondary water is available. This water must be treated or filtered for culinary use. Four water hydrants of non-potable water may be available for horse use only, water not for human consumption.

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., no generators during that time, open late spring to late fall.
Non-potable stock water may be available from late May until the water supply is exhausted, late summer, early fall. Water not for human consumption. When water is not available, campers may access potable water at the dump station from the nearby Red Canyon Campground.
Any accepted passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.
