Overview

Little Falls Campground is a pleasant little campground, complete with views of the Illinois River and the expansive mountains surrounding the Illinois Valley.

  • Amphitheater with large fire pit

  • No drinking water

  • No garbage disposal - Please pack it out

  • Day Use Parking for the Trailhead users.

Natural Features

Little Falls Campground offers access to the cascading Little Illinois River Falls, scenic views of the Illinois Valley and surrounding mountainous terrain. Located within the botanical-rich Eight Dollar Mountain area, the site features specialized serpentine soil, unique Darlingtonia plants, wildflowers and pristine river swimming holes nearby.

Recreation

The campground is co-located with the trailhead for the Little Falls Trail #1284 that connects to the Jeffrey Pine Loop Trailhead.

Important Notices

    • First come, first serve camping, limited to 14 days.

    • No trash service available, pack out what you pack in.

    • Campfires are allowed in developed Forest Service installed metal fire rings when conditions allow. Learn more about current fire information: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/rogue-siskiyou/fire/info

    • Fireworks are prohibited.

    • Camping is for tents, and only allowed in designated sites.

    • OHV/ATV use prohibited in campground.

    • Quiet hours between 10pm and 6am.

    • Dogs must be on a leash.

    • There is limited cell phone coverage.

    • Must pay via Scan & Pay onsite with the Recreation.gov app. App must be downloaded with cellular service prior to arriving at the campground.
