Overview

Daphne Grove Campground is a quiet, riverside hideaway located about 14 miles south of Powers. With 14 forested campsites and easy paved access that can accommodate RVs, it's a favorite for peaceful camping, wildlife viewing, and simple outdoor recreation.

Short interpretive trail and South Fork Coquille River

Recreation

The relatively short Coquille River Falls travels back and forth through an amazing stand of old-growth Douglas-fir, hemlock, and Port Orford cedar trees, and ends at Coquille River Falls. The trail is within driving distance from the small town of Powers, Oregon, and several campgrounds in and around the town.

Hanging Rock viewpoint, Elk Creek Falls, Big Tree trail (world’s largest Port Orford cedar tree), Coquille Falls trail.

  • First come, first serve camping, limited to 14 days.

    • 14 campsites

    • Campfires are allowed in developed Forest Service installed metal fire rings when conditions allow. Learn more about current fire information: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/rogue-siskiyou/fire/info

    • Garbage disposal (from Memorial Day to Labor Day only). Otherwise there is no on-site garbage disposal. Please pack out what you pack in. For more on Leave No Trace Ethics, please visit lnt.org.

    • Fireworks are prohibited.

    • OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground

    • Quiet hours between 10pm and 6am.

    • Dogs must be on a leash.

    • There is no cell phone coverage.

    • Must pay via Scan & Pay onsite with the Recreation.gov app. App must be downloaded with cellular service prior to arriving at the campground.
