Overview

This dispersed campsite for tents or small trailers, is located on the Recreation portion of the Wild and Scenic Chetco River. Enjoy summer fun in the crystal clear waters of this outstanding river. There are a few shaded spots that can be found along the tree line.  Picnicking, sunbathing, swimming, floating and other forms of non-motorized water sports are possible.

• First come, first serve camping, limited to 14 days.

  • Campfire allowed if no fire restrictions in place. Learn more about current fire information: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/rogue-siskiyou/fire/info

  • Garbage disposal (from Memorial Day to Labor Day only). Otherwise there is no on-site garbage disposal. Please pack out what you pack in. For more on Leave No Trace Ethics, please visit lnt.org.

  • Fireworks are prohibited.

  • OHV/ATV use prohibited.

  • Quiet hours between 10pm and 6am.

  • Dogs must be on a leash.

  • There is no cell phone coverage.

  • Must pay via Scan & Pay onsite with the Recreation.gov app. App must be downloaded with cellular service prior to arriving at the campground.

Directions

<p>From <strong>Brookings, OR,</strong> turn off US Highway 101 onto the North Bank Chetco River Road (County Road 784). This becomes Forest Road 1376. Redwood Bar is approximately 6 miles from the Forest boundary on Forest Road 1376, just past the Little Redwood Campground.</p>
