Overview

This dispersed campsite for tents and small trailers is located at the confluence of South Fork Chetco with the main stem of the Wild and Scenic Chetco River.   Enjoy summer fun in the crystal-clear waters of this outstanding river!

  • Upper South Fork Camp provides a more secluded location along the South Fork Chetco River.

  • Lower South Fork Camp provides a larger area with access to both the South Fork and main stem Chetco River.

  • Garbage service is not provided. Please pack out what you pack in.

  • Potable water is not available at this site.

  • Portable toilet

  • First come, first serve camping, limited to 14 days.

    • NO Garbage Service. Please pack out what you pack in. For more on Leave No Trace Ethics, please visit lnt.org.

    • Fireworks are prohibited.

    • OHV/ATV use prohibited.

    • Quiet hours between 10pm and 6am.

    • Dogs must be on a leash.

    • There is no cell phone coverage.

    • Must pay via Scan & Pay onsite with the Recreation.gov app. App must be downloaded with cellular service prior to arriving at the campground.

Directions

<p>From <strong>Brookings, OR</strong>, turn off US Highway 101 onto the North Bank Chetco River Road (County Road 784). This becomes Forest Road 1376. South Fork Camps are approximately 8 miles from the Forest boundary on Forest Road 1376.</p>
