Part of Rio Grande National Forest
Comstock Campground is in the Rock Creek Drainage 18 miles southwest of Monte Vista. The campground facilities include 6 sites with tables and fire rings, and a vault type toilet. All sites are dead end spurs and vary from 35 to 40 feet in length. Maneuvering space for large trailers is somewhat limited so walking the campground to look at sites is recommended if you have a larger trailer.
All sites are first come, first served and cannot be reserved.
No trash service or receptacles. Please pack out all garbage.
Hiking trails include: Alamosa River to Rock Creek Trail 703, North Fork Rock Creek Trail 704 and South Fork Rock Creek Trail 702. Motorcycles are allowed on Trails 702 and 703. ATVs less than 50 inches wide are allowed on Trail 702 and it connects over to Blowout Pass.
Big game hunting in the area during hunting season.

Check in time is after 2:00 pm. Check out time is before 11:00 am.

No Horses in the Campground
Must have Colorado Fishing License to fish in Rock Creek
14-day camping limit.
Fires in designated fire rings only.
This can be bear country. Remain "Bear Aware" and store food properly while camping.
Passes and Permits:
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to single campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.

<p>From the Divide Ranger District Office Head east on US-160 for 13.0 miles. Turn right onto CO-15/S Broadway Street and go 2.4 miles. Turn right onto County Rd 2 S and go 2.5 miles. Turn left onto County Rd 28 and go 3.5 miles. Turn right to stay on County Rd 28/FSR265 and go 8.5 miles. At the turn for Rock Creek Campground stay right on FSR 265 and go 2.6 miles. Comstock Campground will be on the left.</p>
