Overview
The year-round campground at Airport Park is perfectly located between Waco Lake and the Waco Airport. Campers can look south and view the pristine waters of the lake, or look north and watch airplanes take off and land.Facilities
Airport Park has 46 sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups, and 22 of these also have sewer hookups. There are 8 screen shelters with electrical outlets and water. Fourteen tent-only campsites without electric are also available. A group camping shelter is available for reservation, and comes with electric, sewer and water hookups. It is equipped with a six-foot grill, 12-foot serving bar, and pavillion with picnic tables. There are eight campsites with electric and water hookups, and six of these have sewer hookups. The group camping area fits about 80 guests.Natural Features
Airport Park is on the northern banks of Waco Lake, near the dam. The lake is primarily fed by the Bosque River, which runs for 115 miles through central Texas.Recreation
The main lake shoreline has a large amount of submerged timber, which typically holds fish year-round. Anglers will find plenty of catfish, crappie, large and smallmouth bass as well as sunfish. A boat ramp and dock help visitors enjoy the lake.Nearby Attractions
Airport Park is located within the City of Waco and is 10 miles from Magnolia Market. About 15 min from Airport Park, Waco Lake Wetlands offers educational tours that take visitors through a six-acre nursery of aquatic plants and more than 130 species of birds. Park gates are locked at 10 pm and do not reopen until 6am. There is a night exit to leave after 10pm, but no vehicle entry between 10pm and 6 am.
Maximum stay at Waco Lake Project is 14 days in any 30 consecutive day period, regardless of campground.
Quiet hours begin at 10 pm and end at 6 am. All visitors not camping must leave by 10 pm.
Campsites are limited to 10 people per campsite, including visitors. No more than 4 vehicles per site.
Camping equipment is limited to one RV/Trailer and up to two tents per site or a total of three tents.
Campsites must be kept clean, and trash collected at all times.
All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 foot at all times.
Off-road vehicles are not permitted.
No firearms, ammunition, fireworks, or weapons allowed in any area of Waco Lake.
Fires are allowed only in designated rings and cookers. No trees may be cut for firewood. Fires are not permitted during burn bans.
Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
Bounce houses are prohibited in all areas of the parks excluding reserved group shelters. A permit is required prior to the use of bounce houses at any group shelter (size limitations may apply). Bounce houses that include water features are prohibited throughout the entirety of the parks, including group shelters. Bounce houses must be attended by an adult at all times.
Small swimming pools are permitted in the parks. Swimming pools may not exceed a water depth of 5 inches, height of 7 inches, width of 36 inches, and length of 36 inches. Swimming pools must be moved to a new location each day to prevent damage to the ground surface. Pools must be attended by an adult at all times unless the pool is empty.
Waterslides, slip ‘n slides, and waterslide-like structures are prohibited in all areas of the parks.

Directions
From I-35, take the Lake Shore Drive exit (Exit 339) and drive west to Steinbeck Bend Road. Turn right and proceed to second stop light. At the intersection with FM 1637 (China Spring Highway) turn right. Go to next stop light (Flat Rock Road). Turn left and drive approximately 1 mile to Skeet Eason Road. Turn left and drive about 0.5 mile. Airport Park is on the first road to the right.
