Part of Ozark National Scenic Riverways
Two of America's clearest spring-fed rivers combine to create the Ozark National Scenic Riverways in the rolling, forested landscape of Akers.
Visitors to the campground enjoy various water activities, as well as hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.
Scenic Round Spring Cave is nearby, with ranger-guided tours offered daily during summer months. Historic and picturesque Alley Mill and Alley Spring are nearby. The mill is open daily in the summer and ranger-offered tours are available upon request.
If you arrive and another party is occupying your reserved campsite, please call Arrowhead Dispatch at 1-844-460-3604 for a Law Enforcement officer to be dispersed to your location for removal of the unauthorized party.
No hook-ups. RV's are not permitted. Tent camping only.
Vault toilet on site. Modern restrooms are open April 15 to Oct. 1 at Akers Ranger Station, a short distance from group campsites.

Water systems shut off Oct. 15-April 14. (Water off means most bathrooms and faucets in campgrounds will be closed and facilities winterized. The exception are the heated shower houses/flush restrooms at Round Spring, Big Spring and Alley Spring campgrounds and Akers Ranger Station.
<p>Akers Campground is 20 miles (32 km) south of Salem, Missouri. From Salem, take Highway 19 south 4 miles (6.4 km). Turn right on Highway KK for 16 miles (26 km) to Akers Group Campground. The campground is 1/2 mile (.8 km) north of Akers Ferry (junction of Highways K and KK).</p>
