GUEST LIMIT: There is a strict limit on guests per cabin. Exceeding the limit will cancel your stay with no refund. Campground guests are not allowed to use cabin amenities.
Bedding/linens are NOT provided. Please bring pillows, blankets, sheets, towels and washcloths. There are NEW mattresses and nice clean mattress pads on all the beds. Cabin A has two bedrooms with one full sized CCC bunkbed in bedroom 1 and one queen sized bed in bedroom 2. There are three beds total. Nice linen/bedding/towel rental is available for cross country travelers/OHT hikers. Rental is $25 per bed set and towels for two.
KITCHENS: Kitchens are fully equipped and include pots & pans, dishes, glasses and flatware. Electric stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot, crock pot, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, water and electric. Dish soap and scrubber provided. Dishes must be washed WELL and put away prior to check-out. You will need to BRING paper towels, coffee filters, coffee, dish towels, etc.
HEATING & COOLING: No A/C, the rock cabins and lodge stay cool in the summer months. Nice cross breeze, forest, and elevation helps to keep the temperature 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the surrounding towns/cities. Ceiling fans and box fans provided. The Lodge and Cabins are heated by wood stoves. A set amount of wood for the wood stoves is provided mid fall-mid spring. (When temperatures average below 55 degrees) Fire pit wood and additional wood stove wood is available for purchase year round. $8 for a large bundle delivered to your cabin. If you need assistance operating the wood stove we are more than happy to help. You are responsible for replacing broken glass doors if you overfill or slam the doors shut. Space heaters and window units are not allowed.
QUIET HOURS 24/7: Guests must keep the noise level to a minimum at all times. Please respect other guests and enjoy the sounds of the mountain. Rowdiness, loud music, abusive language, drunkeness, and possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
WILDLIFE: Wildlife area, keep all food & trash properly secured. DO NOT feed the bears/wildlife. We take great pride in providing safe, clean, well maintained, and critter free cabins. Each cabin is inspected twice prior to each stay. If a critter visits (bug, mouse, etc.) please notify us IMMEDIATELY so we may help to remove it. Refunds will not be given for critter visits. White Rock is surrounded by 1.2 million acres of forest, the cabins are over 90 years old, and despite our rigorous cleaning and mitigation efforts it's occasionally going to happen.
PET DEPOSIT REQUIRED: Pets ARE allowed to stay in the cabins. We love our hiking buddies! We do require a $200 CASH deposit to be paid upon arrival. Pets must be treated with flea treatment prior to arrival. RULES: Pets are not allowed to be left in cabin unattended nor tied outside. Pets must be kept off all furniture (including the beds!). Do not bathe your pet in the cabin and clean up/dispose of all waste outside. Clean up all pet hair from floors and porches. If any of these rules are violated your deposit will be kept. Deposits will be returned after satisfactory inspection of the cabin upon checkout. If you do not pay the deposit and have a pet you will be charged the $200 deposit.
OHV'S: OHV use is not permitted within the park. Any guest that brings OHV's must keep them on the trailer and must trailer them to approved OHV trail heads for use.
CAMPFIRES: Campfires are allowed in the fire pit only, you must extinguish them prior to leaving. Absolutely NO fireworks allowed.
HUNTING:No hunting is allowed within the park. All cleaning and disposal of remains must be conducted outside the 58 acre White Rock Mountain Recreation Area.

General Store is now open! We offer HOT PIZZAS, toiletries, souvenirs, ice cream, ice, cold drinks, snacks, super nice OHT/Area trail maps, firewood, etc. Please note, the nearest store/restaurant is approximately 1 hour away.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Recreation.gov charges customers a $10.00 cancellation fee, and they also keep the reservation fee. You will forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or campsite reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. The only reason that justifies a fully or partially refunded cancellation/early departure is ice and snow that make the roads impassible. Rain, cold, heat, NOR ANY OTHER REASON, including a personal emergency, temproary utility disruption, etc will warrant a fully refunded cancellation within 14 days of your stay or an early departure refund.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: VERY IMPORTANT! Use Google Maps only for navigation. Enter "White Rock Mountain Recreation Area" into Google Maps only. Do not use your vehicle's GPS, nor any other form of navigation. Please call 479-369-4128 for assistance.
ROAD DETOUR - If you plan to travel North from I-40 (Exit 24), please follow the detour signs posted in Fern. FIREWOOD: Firewood is available to purchase at the White Rock General Store. $8 for a LARGE bundle, delivered to your site. Orders must be placed by 5pm for delivery, PLEASE call ahead and order if you will be arriving after 5pm. Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal. Visit dontmovefirewood.org
