You MUST have a horse or other stock animal to reserve this site.
If you reserve this site and arrive without a horse or stock animal, your reservation will be cancelled and you will not be allowed to stay.
There are no horse stalls or high lines available. Horse and livestock owners are responsible for bringing and maintaining any equipment needed to safely secure their animals, including high lines, portable corrals, or electric fences. All equipment must be placed in designated areas only. Livestock must be picketed at least 100 feet from the river.
The maximum trailer length for this site is 35 feet.
The primary occupant of the site will be required to show photo ID upon check-in.
There is a 7 night camping limit in Wawona from May 1 through September 15.
Resale or auction of reservations is prohibited, and reservations may not be advertised or otherwise offered for resale or auction.
Wawona Horse Campsites are separate from the main Wawona Campground. They are located off Chilnualna Falls Road on Wawona District Circle.
It is recommended to bring a 120' water hose and large bucket to water your horse.
Manure and uneaten fodder must be raked and bagged daily and deposited in dumpsters (150-200 yards away).
We recommend you bring leveling equipment for your RV or Trailer as the sites are both slightly to moderately inclined.
A food storage locker is provided and measures 45" wide by 33" deep and 18" tall.
