Need to Know

• Old Maverick Road and the gravel access road are both generally well-maintained and accessible to most vehicles. Old Maverick Road becomes slick and rutted after heavy rains and may require high clearance or 4-wheel drive. Always check current road conditions with a ranger. 

• Directions: Maverick Camp (MC-1) is located on the east side of Old Maverick Road, approximately 0.5 miles from the north end of the Maverick Road near the Entrance Station.  

  The use of generators is prohibited in the backcountry.
