Food and garbage must be stored properly at all times. Food should be stored inside a vehicle or a lockable hard sided container. Garbage should be secured in the same way or be disposed of in the receptacles provided in the campground. Food is defined as food, drinks, toiletries, cosmetics, pet food and bowls, or any other scented items. Coolers, dirty stoves, grills, non-disposable tableware and cookware must be washed or stored in the same manner as food.
Arriving with a group beyond the maximum capacity for the site will result in purchasing another site (rarely available) or cancellation of your reservation.
Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited.
Generator use is not permitted at any time in Watchman Campground.
Wood gathering is prohibited in the park. Wood is available for purchase in Springdale.
Bathing and washing of clothing or dishes at public faucets or in restrooms are prohibited. These activities should be performed at your campsite. Food particles should be strained from dishwater before disposing of in drains. Gray water produced by activities such as showering, bathing, cleaning, rinsing, etc. of any person or object with soap or other cleaning products must be collected and disposed of either at the campground dump station or in drains located near water spigots outside each restroom.
All vehicles and trailers must be kept on designated parking pads and not on vegetation or within the tent site.
Campers are responsible for understanding current fire restrictions. Please check with a ranger or camp host if you need additional information.
Fireworks are prohibited in Zion National Park.
The use of hammocks and slacklines are prohibited. “Tree tents” are not permitted due to the number and length of guy lines exceeding the footprint of the campsite. Candles or lanterns are not to be hung from tree limbs by any means.
Attaching or suspending items from trees which may cause tree or limb damage is prohibited, as is attaching any item to trees or vegetation with nails, wire or chains. Clotheslines longer than 15 feet or numbering greater than one per campsite are prohibited.
Nothing can be attached to, or hung on park structures. Installation of sports equipment such as horseshoe pits and stakes, volleyball nets, etc. Is prohibited.
This site has a shade shelter, 1 large fire ring, 1 small fire ring, 2 barbeques, and multiple tables.
There are 7 standard parking stalls and one 40 ft. paved parking pad that could accommodate multiple vehicles.
Fires are permitted in the furnished grates at each site. Fires should never be left unattended until completely extinguished with plenty of water and cool to the touch.
Shower and laundry facilities are not available in any of Zion’s campgrounds. These services are available in the town of Springdale for a fee.
Properly restrained pets are allowed in developed campgrounds, picnic areas, on the grounds of the Zion Lodge, and along public roads and parking areas within 100 feet of the road surface. Pets are allowed on the Pa’rus trail but may not be taken on any other trails in Zion National Park. Service animals are not subject to the park’s pet policies and are allowed everywhere that visitors are allowed when accompanying an individual with a disability.
Pet excrement must be picked up and properly disposed of by the owner in all areas within Zion.
Shade is a relative term. If a site is listed as having shade, please note that the level of coverage may vary by time of day and season.
