Need to Know

• Camper Agrees:

  1.        Fees will be collected in advance of the first night’s stay. 

  2.        Transferal of campsite location after permit is approved is not authorized.

  3.        The permittee must be present for each night that the site is occupied with people.  The site does not require personal appearance on a daily or nightly basis.  Subleasing or loaning of the campsite is not authorized.

  4.        If 45 consecutive nights have been reached, the permittee and belongings will be required to vacate that park for a minimum of 24 hours.

  5.        All campsites shall be clean and well maintained and free of litter at all times.  There shall be no storage of extra wheeled camping units, non-used vehicles, construction materials, or any other non-approved items on the campsites that would detract from the overall cleanliness of the campground and individual campsite.  There will be no vehicles, vessels, trailers, or carpet placed or parked on the grass at any time.  All trash shall be promptly removed to the nearest dumpster.  Visible trash bags shall not be allowed about the campsite.

  6.        All items creating the appearance of permanent residence, including but not limited to the following are prohibited; gardens, storage sheds, dog pens, decorative fencing, patios, storage sheds/units, exterior freezers/refrigerators/appliances, clothes lines, decks, gasoline containers (when site is unoccupied), wood or plastic pallets, tiki bars or other bar type facilities, and exterior sinks for cleaning fish.  Permanent-type attachments such as porches, which interfere with mobility, are not permitted.   Only USACE is permitted to make permanent campground site improvements.

  7.        The following items will be allowed; portable entrance steps (including the top and bottom landings) no wider than 4 feet or longer than 6 feet, storage tubs and cooler no larger than 50 gallons in size (must be kept in or stored under RV or on trailer hitch storage racks when not in use), 1 portable barbeque grill, firewood maximum ½ cord neatly stacked, outdoor rugs on gravel only (maximum size 8’x11’).

  8.        The following items will be allowed when site is occupied and must be kept stored in or under RV when site is unoccupied;  flags, bicycles, lawn furniture, portable tables, screen tents, children’s toys, mini yard light fixtures, rope lights, satellite dish, and pet leashes

  9.        Recreational vehicles shall at all times have wheels with serviceable tires attached.  Temporary blocking for stability is permissible.  Permanent foundations are prohibited.  All recreation vehicles must comply with state license and registration requirements.

  10.     Only one boat trailer or personal watercraft (PWC) trailer will be allowed on the gravel parking on the site. 

  11.     No hay, bales, tarps, fiber / foam board or other unapproved materials shall be used for insulation purposes on campers.  Commercial grade 5th wheel vinyl skirts must be inspected prior to approval.

  12.     No electric cords may be connected to an adjacent site for use on the primary campsite to supplement the amount of electricity available.

  13.     All gray water shall be properly disposed of in sewage dumping facilities only.  There shall be no dumping of gray water directly on the ground or in any unapproved facility.  This shall be strictly enforced with no exception.  Portable tanks used for this purpose shall not exceed 35 gallon in size.

  14.     To limit all “yard art” to a minimum, to detracting from the parks aesthetics.

  15.     To be aware of temperature extremes when applicable.  Freezing temperatures may cause water hookups and hoses to freeze and cause property damage to both park and private property.  Hoses may have to be unhooked during freezing conditions, unless proper precautions have been taken, including proper insulation of the water hydrant by the camper.  Failure to adequately insulate water hydrants may result in forfeiture of camping privileges and permittee may be billed for damages and costs incurred by USACE.  Additional propane tank sizes are limited to two 100 pound propane cylinders.  Cylinders must be attached to the RV in a manner to prevent them from falling over.

  16.     One additional tent may be set up, but must be removed when not being utilized. 

  17.     When park staff is mowing in your area, all items that may be damaged by passing mowers must be moved.  It is the permittee’s responsibility to keep all items free and clear of the mowed area. 

  18.     Campsites include one campfire ring and one picnic table.

  19.       Pets shall be kept on a 6 feet or shorter lead.  The area must be kept cleaned of pet waste.  Pets that create noise complaints will need to be removed from the park.  Pets must have access to water at all times.
