Cravens Hammock is located on the brown trail approximately 5 miles north of the Suwannee River Sill. Campfires, in the provided fire ring, are authorized here. Firewood must be purchased onsite.
Wood and charcoal fires are ONLY permitted at Mixons Hammock, Floyds Island, and Canal Run. Please refer to the refuge map for locations and distances between stops. Keep trails and platforms free of litter; you must pack out ALL garbage generated from your trip.
The refuge DOES NOT recommend booking trips that require more than 15 miles of paddling in one day. Permit holders take full responsibility of knowing the distance between overnight stops. Click here to review recommended itineraries before proceeding with your reservation.
