• NO FIRES OR CHARCOAL GRILLS. Please refer to the refuge brochure for additional trip planning information and Know Before You Go tips. Keep trails and platforms free of litter; you must pack out ALL garbage generated from your trip.
  

  Permit holders take full responsibility of knowing the distance between overnight stops.

• The platform, located on the red trail, is at the north end of Big Water Lake tucked into the edge of a beautiful stand of cypress trees. The area provides great fishing opportunities (seasonally) as well as night sky and sunrise/sunset viewing.
