These sites can accommodate from 1 to 7 campers with up to 3 tents.
Location: Adjeacent to boat harbor at Presque Isle. A boardwalk leads from the campsite docks, contact station, and vault toilet.
Amenities: This is an wheelchair accessible campsite. Well water, vault toilet, picnic table, fire ring, wooden tent pad, and food locker.
Access: Boaters can tie up at the dock. The cruise service makes regualr stops at the Presque Isle dock in July and August. Kayaks and small boats can land on the beach adjacent to the site.
There are presently 17 campsites in the Presque Isle campground. Site #1 is an "accessible" campsite within 100 yards of the Stockton Island visitor center. A boardwalk leads from the dock to the campsite and the site features an accessible picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker.
Campers need to be prepared to boil or filter their water if the well is not available.
