• As of July 23, 2009, Lemolo Lake is experiencing a blue-green algae bloom that can produce harmful toxins. People and pets are adviced to avoid water contact. Eating fish caught during a bloom may pose a health risk. In dense blooms, Department of Health Services strongly recommends that if people choose to eat these fish, they should remove all fat, skin, and organs before cooking since toxins are more likely to collect in these tissues
