Need to Know
- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Relatively flat terrain, can be flooded, numerous roots across trail.
Open fires must be in the fire ring, collect dead/down wood only.
Cabin is primitive, no ammenities except oil stove and outhouse.
Bring #1 stove oil for the oil stove.
Water must be boiled or treated for drinking.
Directions: 8 air miles of Yakutat on E bank of Situk River. Access by
wheeled plane, 1800' airstrip near cabin. Access by boat
downstream from Nine Mile Bridge on Situk River approx. 3 miles
Access by trail 3 miles from Nine Mile Bridge on Forest Hwy

Spruce, hemlock, cottonwood forest. Moose, brown bear, salmon, steelhead,
trout.
Jet service into Yakutat, several ways to access cabin. Meat shed. Good
fishing and hunting.
