Overview
Grave Creek to Marial Back Country Byway is managed by Department of Transportation and is located near Rogue River, Oregon.
Climb through the rugged edges of the Rogue River Canyon and wind through the beautiful Siskiyou Mountains to experience the spectacular views of the wild river. Keen observers will catch a glimpse of the elk, deer, wild turkeys and black bears that inhabit the area.
Explore the Raine Falls, accessed by a hiking trail at the start of the byway or take the trailhead to the Rogue River National Recreation Trail, where you can hike or backpack along the banks of the river from Grave Creek to Marial, a daunting 24 miles.
Round off your trip resting and relaxing at the Historic Rogue River Ranch, which lies at the end of the byway. Dating back to the late 1800s, the ranch grew from a one-room cabin to what it is today.

Getting There
Getting to the Byway:
From Wolf Creek:
- In the town of Wolf Creek get on Lower Wolf Creek Road heading west.
- After 6.9 miles, Lower Wolf Creek Road will turn into Graves Creek Road.
- The byway begins at the confluence of Graves Creek Road and Galice Road.
Grants Pass to Wolf Creek:
- In the town of Grants Pass merge onto I-5 N/OR-99 N via the ramp to Portland.
- After 17.7 miles take exit 76 toward Wolf Creek.
- After 0.2 miles turn left at Edgewood Road.
- In 0.1 mile turn right at Old Highway 99 S.
- Wolf Creek is in 1/2 mile.
Roseburg to Wolf Creek:
- In the town of Roseburg merge onto NW Mulholland Drive.
- In 33 ft, turn left at NW Garden Valley Blvd.
- In 0.2 miles merge onto I-5 S via the ramp to Grants Pass.
- After 48.5 miles take exit 76 toward Wolf Creek.
- After 0.2 miles turn left at Edgewood Road.
- In 0.1 mile turn right at Old Highway 99 S.
- Wolf Creek is in 1/2 mile.
Navigating the Byway:
The byway begins at the confluence of Grave Creek Road and Galice Road.
- From here, take BLM 34-8-1 Road.
- After 4.3 miles take a slight left onto BLM 33-8-26 Road.
- After 9.2 miles BLM 33-8-26 Road will become BLM Road. Stay on BLM Road for 2.3 miles.
- Turn left at BLM 34-8-1 Road.
- Turn left at Dutch Henry Road in 1/2 mile.
- After 4.8 miles make a slight left at BLM 32-9-3 Road.
- After 0.2 miles turn left at Mule Creek-Marial Road.
- After 10.8 miles make a slight left to stay on Mule Creek-Marial Road.
The byway ends 2.3 miles later in the town of Marial.
