Sand Wash Recreation Area
Overview
Sand Wash Recreation Area is managed by Bureau of Land Management and is located near Vernal, Utah. Several primitive campsites and 4 Bug huts (reservable on www.recreation.gov). Amenities: vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings. No running water or Trash Services. Primarily used by boaters floating through Desolation and Gray Canyons of the Green River.

Getting There
Sand Wash launch site may be accessed via HWY 40 between Roosevelt and Duchesne, Utah on the Sand Wash Road or thru 9-Mile Canyon & Wrinkles road off of HWY 6 in Wellington Utah. Once off of pavement approximately 25 miles of Dirt Road and 1.5 hours of drive time for either route.
