The Carlanna Lake trail is 1.1 miles long. From the parking area, the trail begins behind a locked gate and follows an old gravel road for ¼ mile up to the Carlanna Lake Dam. From the dam, a wide gravel trail begins off to the right (south side) of the lake. The trail continues for 1 mile to the main creek inlet where you will find a bridge marking the end of the developed trail. From here the trail turns into Minerva Mtn. Trail. While there are some trail markers, a large section of Minerva Mtn. Trail is primitive and is only recommended for experienced hikers with route-finding skills.
