Overview

Lower Provo River Campground is located just off the beautiful Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah near the shores of its namesake. The Uintas are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. The campground is situated among shady pines and aspens at an elevation of 7,400 feet near the Lower Provo River. The dense stands of trees provide nice shade and pretty fall color. The Lower Provo River offers good trout fishing. Numerous hiking, biking and horseback riding trails crisscross this beautiful mountain area, including North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails. Off-road vehicle trails are in the vicinity. The campground has 10 single campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault restrooms facilities are available.
