Overview

Yellow Pine Campground is located on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 7,200 feet. The byway is part of the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. This is not the same campground as the Yellowpine on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains near Rock Creek. The campground offers 33 single campsites. The campsites have picnic tables and fire rings available for use and vault toilet restroom facilities are located throughout the campground. The campground is shaded and as is near many recreation opportunities. The campground is situated among shady pines and aspen. The dense stands of trees provide nice shade and pretty fall color. Yellow Pine Creek runs alongside the campground and sagebrush and summer wildflowers dot the landscape. Numerous hiking, biking and horseback riding trails crisscross this beautiful region, including Yellow Pine, North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails, which all begin nearby. Off-road vehicle trails are in the vicinity. The Lower Provo River is below the site and across the highway, offering good trout fishing.
