Overview

The Buffehr Creek Trail is 3.5 miles long. It begins and/or ends at Forest Road 734 and Buffeher Creek Road. For hiking, this trail starts in the town of Vail and joins the North Vail Trail #1896. It can be hiked east or west, but a popular section is to the east to the Beaver Ponds for an easy hike. For biking, this trail is generally started off of the Red and White Mountain Road #734 and is a somewhat technical ride back down to Vail.

This trail is closed seasonally from April 15 through June 20 for elk calving.
