Box Creek Wilderness Study Area

Overview

Box Creek Wilderness Study Area is managed by Bureau of Land Management and is located near Mccall, Idaho. In Idaho, BLM manages over 440 acres of public lands in the Box Creek Wilderness Study Area. This area includes rolling to extremely steep terrain supporting mixed conifer forest of Douglas-fir, subalpine fir, Englemann spruce, lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine and aspen. Box Creek flows through the south. The nearby area provides outstanding opportunities for primitive hiking, hunting, fishing, photography and wildlife viewing.
