Palisade State Park

Overview

Palisade State Park is managed by Utah and is located near Sterling, Utah. Utah State Parks: Play 18-holes of golf, paddle or troll on Palisade Reservoir, then set up the perfect campsite. This park offers something for everyone, from its desert canyon golf course, RV and tent camping, to access for off-highway vehicle riding in nearby Six-Mile Canyon and the Arapeen ATV trail system. There are mainly 3 types of fish that you will catch in Palisade Reservoir. They are the Rainbow Trout, Tiger Trout and a very few Cutthroat Trout.

There is a great trail that travels around the west side of the reservoir and continues over the dam and around through the campground loop. It is just over one and a half miles to do the whole loop. There are also some trails that take you higher on the hillside west of the lake. Make a reservation on the Utah State Parks reservation site

Getting There

Approximately 133 miles south of Salt Lake City.
Go east from the town of Nephi on S.R. 132, then south on U.S. 89 to the town of Sterling, then two miles east on Palisade Road.
Open Daily 8:00 am - 10:00 pm Full site fee and rentals schedule.
Make a reservation on the Utah State Parks reservation site
