Douglas Creek

Overview

Douglas Creek is managed by Bureau of Land Management and is located near Palisades, Washington. In the dry sage-steppe uplands of Eastern Washington, Douglas Creek forms a unique riparian oasis. In the basalt canyon, songbirds and raptors perch in cottonwoods, and the road paralleling the creek passes beaver ponds and cascading pools.

Take Highway 2 east past Waterville, Washington, for 8 miles, and turn right onto "H" Road. Follow this gravel road for 7 miles, down into the Douglas Creek canyon.
