Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge Waterfowl Hunt

Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1989 to conserve, maintain, and enhance the wetlands of the Ocmulgee River. The bottomland hardwood river swamp and adjacent mixed pine-hardwood upland forest provide important habitat for a variety of native wildlife. The Refuge is located 6 miles south of Macon, Georgia, and provides public access on both sides of the Ocmulgee River. Public hunting is permitted on 8,600 acres. Bond Swamp NWR provides opportunities for hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
