PuʻUhonua O HŌNaunau National Historical Park
Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park also accepts payment in person during Operating Hours and honors valid America the Beautiful Passes (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.). If you already own one of these, you do not need to purchase a site pass. For more information, visit the park's Fees & Passes page.
On January 1, 2026, changes to National Park Entrance Fees and Passes for non-residents took effect.
Frequent visitors, seniors, military, and others may save money on entrance fees with an America the Beautiful Pass.
Do NOT purchase a site pass now if you have a valid America the Beautiful annual or lifetime pass OR are planning to get one.
Each pass is issued to one person (the pass holder) who must be present and show valid photo identification each time the pass is used. U.S. citizen or resident identification includes a U.S. driver's license, U.S. passport, or U.S. permanent resident card.
Please ensure you have selected the correct pass before you proceed to payment.
Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park requires all visitors to pay an entrance fee except children under 16 years of age.
The pass admits the passholder and up to 14 passengers in a single, private (non-commercial) vehicle.
Please be prepared to show your site pass on your mobile device (or printed on paper).
Entrance passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.
This is an entrance fee, not a parking fee. Parking is not guaranteed. The parking lot can fill to capacity on any given day. Visitors are encouraged to arrive between 8:30 am and 10:30 am or after 2:30 pm. Refunds will not be offered.
Areas of Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau sometimes experiences connectivity issues. Please download this pass to your mobile device or print a hard copy before arriving at the park.
