IMPORTANT NOTICE: In conjunction with state and local governments, PAIS is temporarily closing its beaches to camping and vehicle access from July 17 through August 1, 2020. Visitors may still access the beach on foot from the Malaquite Visitor Center and the Bird Island Basin Boat Ramp is also still open to the public.

All park visitors are required to purchase an entrance pass to enter Padre Island National Seashore. There are seven (7) pass types from which to choose. They are as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: Entrance passes do not cover amenity fees, such as camping or use of the Bird Island Basin Boat Ramp. Activities such as these require an additional fee to be paid on-site.

This pass is only valid for entrance fees at Padre Island National Seashore. All visitors 16 years of age and older are required to pay an entrance fee at Padre Island National Seashore. Please be prepared to show your physical pass or digital pass on your mobile device.

Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Passes are valid for entrance fees only. Amenity fees such as camping or use of the Bird Island Basin Boat Ramp must be paid separately.
