Padre Island National Seashore also accepts payment in person during Operating Hours and honors valid America the Beautiful Passes (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.). If you already own one of these, you do not need to purchase a site pass. For more information, visit the park's Fees & Passes page. 

Beginning January 1, 2026, changes to National Park Entrance Fees and Passes for non-residents and motorcycles take effect. 

• Frequent visitors, seniors, military, and others may save money on entrance fees with an America the Beautiful Pass.  

• Do NOT purchase a site pass now if you have a valid America the Beautiful annual or lifetime pass OR are planning to get one.

Each pass is issued to one person (the pass holder) who must be present and show valid photo identification each time the pass is used. U.S. citizen or resident identification includes a U.S. driver's license, U.S. passport, or U.S. permanent resident card. 

Please ensure you select the correct pass before proceeding to payment. If you already own a valid Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.). you do NOT need to purchase another pass.

• Padre Island Annual Pass: admits the passholder and up to 15 passengers in the same private (non-commercial) vehicle or motorcycle. It expires ONE YEAR from the month of purchase.  
• 7-day Vehicle or Motorcycle Pass: admits the passholder and up to 15 passengers in the same private (non-commercial) vehicle. It expires ONE WEEK from the date of purchase. This vehicle entrance pass is required for overnight camping. It expires ONE WEEK from the date of purchase. If you arrive in a vehicle, this is the pass you must have in order to camp overnight.
• 1-day Vehicle or Motorcycle Pass: admits the passholder and up to 15 passengers in the same private (non-commercial) vehicle or passholder and one passenger on a motorcycle. It expires at MIDNIGHT on the day of purchase.   
• 7-day Individual (bicyclist, hiker, or pedestrian) Pass: admits one individual bicyclist, hiker, or pedestrian visiting the facility without a private vehicle. An individual pass is not required for visitors aged 15 and under. It expires ONE WEEK from the date of purchase. For an individual arriving without a vehicle, this is the pass you must have in order to camp overnight.
• 1-day Individual Pass (bicyclist, hiker, or pedestrian) admits one individual bicyclist, hiker, or pedestrian visiting the facility without a private vehicle. An individual pass is not required for visitors aged 15 and under. It expires at MIDNIGHT on the day of purchase.  

Entrance passes are separate from camping or Bird Island Basin Boat Ramp fees.   

This pass is only valid for entrance fees at Padre Island National Seashore. All visitors 16 years of age and older are required to pay an entrance fee at Padre Island National Seashore. Please be prepared to show your physical pass or digital pass on your mobile device.

Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
