Only the Muir Woods Annual Pass is available on Recreation.gov. You may pay entrance fees for a single day in person during Operating Hours or online in advance when/if you book a Muir Woods Parking or Shuttle Reservation (parking is NOT included with the entrance fee). This Muir Woods National Monument annual pass is valid for 12 months and is only valid for entrance fees at Muir Woods National Monument. If you prefer to purchase one-time only entrance tickets, you may purchase upon arrival at the park or online in advance when/if you book a Muir Woods Parking or Shuttle Reservation.
Beginning January 1, 2026, changes to National Park Entrance Fees and Passes for non-residents and motorcycles take effect.
Frequent visitors, seniors, military, and others may save money on entrance fees with an America the Beautiful Pass.
Do NOT purchase a site pass now if you have a valid America the Beautiful annual or lifetime pass OR are planning to get one.
Each pass is issued to one person (the pass holder) who must be present and show valid photo identification each time the pass is used. U.S. citizen or resident identification includes a U.S. driver's license, U.S. passport, or U.S. permanent resident card.
The Muir Woods National Monument annual pass covers unlimited entry for the passholder and up to 3 additional accompanying visitors for one year from the end of the month of purchase. Available to U.S. Citizens and Residents only. There can be only 1 passholder per pass.
The annual pass does not cover parking. If you plan to enter by private vehicle or use our shuttle, please visit the National Park Service authorized concessioner, Muir Woods Parking and Shuttle Reservations page to book a parking or shuttle reservation in advance. You may also book one-time entrance tickets on the parking and shuttle website for $15 per visitor (16 years and older).
All visitors 16 years of age and older are required to pay an entrance fee at Muir Woods National Monument. Please be prepared to show your physical pass or digital pass on your mobile device.
