Walnut Canyon National Monument also accepts payment in person during Operating Hours and honors valid America the Beautiful Passes (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.). If you already own one of these, you do not need to purchase a site pass. For more information, visit the Fees & Passes page on the park website.

Beginning January 1, 2026, changes to National Park Entrance Fees and Passes for non-residents and motorcycles take effect.  

Frequent visitors, seniors, military, and others may save money on entrance fees with an America the Beautiful Pass.   

Do NOT purchase a site pass now if you have a valid America the Beautiful annual or lifetime pass OR are planning to get one. 

Each pass is issued to one person (the pass holder) who must be present and show valid photo identification each time the pass is used. U.S. citizen or resident identification includes a U.S. driver's license, U.S. passport, or U.S. permanent resident card.  

The Private Vehicle pass covers unlimited entry for one vehicle and passengers. The Pedestrian/ Cyclist pass covers unlimited entry for one cyclist, hiker, or pedestrian without a private vehicle for 7 consecutive days at Walnut Canyon National Monument, beginning on the start date you select. 

The Flagstaff Area National Monument Annual Pass is valid for 12 months at Walnut Canyon National Monument AND Sunset Crater National Monument, and Wupatki National Monument.

Walnut Canyon National Monument requires all visitors to pay an entrance fee except children under 16 years of age. 

Walnut Canyon National Monument has limited cell coverage. Please download or print your pass ahead of time and be prepared to show your site pass upon arrival at Walnut Canyon National Monument.

Entrance passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.
