HawaiʻI Volcanoes National Park

• Do you already own a pass? If you already own a valid Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.), you do not need to purchase any of the passes below.
• Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park charges an entrance fee. You may purchase a 7-day entrance pass below or a Hawaiʻi Tri-park Annual pass. The 7-day entrance pass is valid for Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park only.
• Site Passes purchased on Recreation.gov are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
• Purchase of this pass may not expedite entry into the park. Long lines may occur during holidays and summer months. However, if you have your pass ready when you arrive at the entrnace station (printed on paper or displayed on your mobile device) you may help reduce wait times.
• Are you visiting more than one park? If you plan to visit other national parks or federal lands, consider purchasing an Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.) when you arrive at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.

• Weather. The weather on Kīlauea's summit, at (4,000 feet (1219 m) varies daily and may be rainy and chilly any time of the year. Please prepare accordingly. 
• Volcanic Eruption Activity. Conditions of volcanic eruption can change at any time. Viewing an eruption is never guaranteed. Check the park's Alerts & Conditions page for current information or for more details and history visit the Kīlauea page. 

This pass is only valid for entrance fees at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. If you're purchasing a Hawaiʻi Tri-Park Annual Pass it is valid at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes NP, Haleakalā NP and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau NHP.

All visitors at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park are required to pay an entrance fee. Please be prepared to show your hard copy pass or digital pass on your mobile device, along with a valid, photo identification.

Print out or download the pass on your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show at all times when visiting Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.

Passes are non-refundable, non-transferrable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Plan to arrive early with the possibility of long lines and have your pass ready when you reach the entrance station.

For purposes of upgrading to annual or lifetime passes: Digital passes may be accepted at parks other than Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, as credit towards an upgrade to annual or lifetime passes, within 7 days from the date of purchase.
