HawaiʻI Volcanoes National Park

This pass is only valid for entrance fees at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. If you're purchasing a Hawaiʻi Tri-Park Annual Pass it is valid at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes NP, Haleakalā NP and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau NHP.

All visitors at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park are required to pay an entrance fee. Please be prepared to show your hard copy pass or digital pass on your mobile device, along with a valid, photo identification.

Print out or download the pass on your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show at all times when visiting Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.

Passes are non-refundable, non-transferrable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Plan to arrive early with the possibility of long lines and have your pass ready when you reach the entrance station.

For purposes of upgrading to annual or lifetime passes: Digital passes may be accepted at parks other than Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, as credit towards an upgrade to annual or lifetime passes, within 7 days from the date of purchase.

The weather on Kīlauea's summit, at 4,000 feet (1219 m) elevation varies daily and may be rainy and chilly any time of the year. Please prepare accordingly.
