Junior Ranger
Campbell Creek Science Center Public Programs
Calling all junior rangers! Join CCSC naturalists to complete fun outdoor investigations and earn your Junior Ranger badge. Days and focus of programs varies (see below). For kids ages 5-10.
- April 19, 10 a.m.-Noon: Bears
- May 24, 10 a.m.-Noon: Birds
When registering, please indicate the ages of any under 5 siblings you'll be bringing after your first name. (For example: First Name: Chris, 3yo or Jamie, 2yo, 4yo)
Note: If there is no "A" on a program date when attempting to select an event date, that means the event is sold out. We hope you'll join us for a future event!

Need to Know
- Ticket Ages
For ages 5-10. All participants must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult caregiver throughout the program. Adult caregivers do not require a ticket.
- Weather
This program will take place mostly outdoors. Dress appropriately for the weather. Temperatures on Campbell Tract can often be 10 degrees colder than in other parts of Anchorage.
- Wildlife
The Campbell Tract is home to many types of wildlife, including moose and bears. Always pay attention for wild animals, give them lots of space, and practice “bear aware” techniques (e.g., travel in groups, make noise, and carry bear spray).
- Directions
Park in the main Science Center parking lot and follow the signs to take the walking path to the Main Entrance.
