Lucky Peak Lake Tours and Programs
This tour will provide an overview of the construction of Lucky Peak Dam, current operations of the dam, relationships with many partners including the Lucky Peak Power Plant Project (non-Corps), and big picture water management considerations of the Upper Boise Basin.

Secure Facility: You are entering a secure facility on this tour. A U.S. government-issued ID is required to be presented prior to entry for all individuals 18 and over. All individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
No bags, cases, parcels, cameras, cell phones, purses, backpacks, diaper bags, food, drink, or pets are allowed to enter the facility. Weather appropriate apparel for being outdoors is recommended, while a light jacket for interior spaces may be desired.
Just beyond mile marker 11, tour guests should exit Highway 21 and begin across Lucky Peak Dam. As the Intake Tower and Service Bridge draw near, please park perpendicularly in the wide cross-hatched area signed “No Stopping Any Time” (tour guests may violate this parking policy). Most of this tour is upon hardened level surfaces and requires a total walking distance of 1,800 feet roundtrip. Portions of this tour (in and around the Intake Tower) require use of stairs and movement through spaces not designed for ADA accessibility.
No restrooms or water are available at this tour location. A vault toilet is located nearby at Lucky Peak Viewpoint for use before or after the tour.
