Grand Tour
Discover the wonders and beauty of Voyageurs! The captain will navigate Rainy Lake in search of abundant wildlife and breathtaking scenery, while visitors hear stories about the rich cultural and historic significance of the park.
The Grand Tour boards at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center - 1797 Township Road 342, International Falls, MN 56649. This tour typically runs from mid-June through September.
Begninning on July 18th, Friday Grand Tours are offered as evening cruises. These tours are timed to return to the Rainy Lake Visitor Center around sunset. On these evenings, there will be a Ranger-led Dark Sky program near the Rainy Lake Visitor Center boat launch area that is free to the public.

Need to Know
- Check in at Rainy Lake Visitor Center
Check in for tour 30 minutes prior to departure at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center - 1797 Town Road 342, International Falls, MN 56649. After turning onto the visior center entrance road from Hwy 11 East, stay on this road. It will bring you past the visitor center to the parking lot.
- Minimum Passenger Rule
There is a maximum capacity of 49 passengers; a minimum of 6 total passengers is required for the tour to depart.
- Recommended Items
Jackets, bug spray, and sunscreen are recommended.
- Restrooms
There is a restroom located on the main level of the vessel.
- Prohibited Items
- Food may not be eaten on the vessel, but drinking water is allowed. No smoking on the tour boat.
- No pets are allowed on tour boats unless they are properly documented service animals that are marked accordingly.
