Sagamore Hill National Historic Site Tours
Tickets are for a Guided Tour of Theodore Roosevelt's home provided by park staff or volunteer. Tickets must be purchased on Recreation.gov. Tickets are not sold in person at Sagamore Hill.
How to Purchase Tickets:

No Restrooms at the Roosevelt Home. Use the toilets next to the parking lot or at the Old Orchard Museum (Thursdays 1 - 4:30 and Friday - Sunday 12pm - 4:30pm).
Arrive On Time. Visitors who arrive late will not be admitted into the Roosevelt Home. Tour-goers should meet their guide at the front door of the Roosevelt Home at their scheduled tour time. Tours will begin promptly. Please have your email confirmation from Recreation.gov to show your tour guide.
Vehicles are not allowed to drive the path to the Theodore Roosevelt House for drop off or pick up. The path is off limits to vehicles. Walkers and wheelchairs are welcome if you or someone in your party needs assistance. We thank you for helping to preserve our cultural landscape.
Backpacks and strollers are not permitted inside the Roosevelt Home.
Inclement Weather. Please dress according to the weather, as a portion of the tour will take place outdoors. Tours will take place rain or shine.
Temperatures Inside the Roosevelt Home. During extended periods of heat and humidity, the Roosevelt Home can get quite hot. Please hydrate well and dress accordingly. When the upper floors are determined to be unsafe, the 3rd and 2nd floors will be off limits.

Getting to the Tour. The Roosevelt Home is located approximately 300 walking steps up a slight paved incline from the parking lot. Look for accessibility path markers in order to take a more gradual path to the Roosevelt Home. This marked path leads to a ramp on the backside of the porch.

Inside the Home. There is a ramp on the porch of the Roosevelt Home that allows wheelchair access to the first floor. Access to the second and third floor is by stairs only. Please inform your guide of any special needs you have so they can best help you.
Old Orchard Museum and the Nature Trail.
The Old Orchard Museum is approximately 1/4 mile from the parking lot. Access via wheelchair is by the back entrance. Follow accessibility markers. Parking is available for those who would benefit.
The Nature Trail (0.7 mile roundtrip) starts from the Old Orchard Museum. It is an unpaved dirt path with steep inclines and cannot be accessed by wheelchair.
