The 30-minute Accessible Tour of Lehman Caves visits the Gothic Palace, the first highly-decorated room of the cave and can accommodate a wheelchair, with assistance. This tour is intended for persons with limited mobility, unable to negotiate stairs, or stand for long periods of time and their immediate companions. In addition, it is also a good tour choice for families with very young children.
Please do not reserve this tour if you are capable of completing another tour, unless you are traveling with a companion who needs an accessible tour. If no one in your party needs an accessible tour, please consider selecting another tour.
NOTE: Rangers are unable to assist with or be responsible for transport of mobility assistive devices.

Please check in at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center at least 15 minutes in advance of your tour's scheduled start time. If you have not checked in with the front desk to claim your reserved tickets within five minutes of the scheduled start time of your tour, your tickets will be forfeit. If you reserved your ticket with an Interagency Senior or Interagency Access Pass, please have it with you when you check in. Wheelchairs, scooters, and assistive devices are allowed. Please note that no transportation or mobility assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers, or canes are available at the visitor center. Assisted listening devices are available - inquire at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center front desk when you check in.
The tour enters the cave via a man-made tunnel and expanded passage that leads into a slope down to the Gothic Palace. The tour will return up the same slope to exit the cave. The slope is roughly 5-6 degrees or a 9-10% grade, which might make solo wheelchair travel difficult. Wheelchair users must be able to navigate this slope on their own or have a companion with them to assist. Rangers are unable to assist with or be responsible for transport of mobility assistive devices.
The minimum width of the path is 32 inches. Wheelchairs or other mobility assistive devices wider than that may not fit.
