Top Cottage was FDRs presidential retreat, where he brought close friends and political allies to discuss the state of the world or simply to relax. Read more about Top Cottage . Visitors will see the partially furnished cottage and join their guide in conversation about the Roosevelt legacy while looking out over the Hudson River Valley.

Need to Know
- When is Top Cottage available and how do I get there?
- Top Cottage is open for the season through October 18th, 2024, Monday thru Friday.
- Check in at the Wallace Center on the Roosevelt Estate. 4079 Albany Post Rd. Hyde Park, NY 12538.
- Departure is from the Henry A. Wallace Visitor Center at 9:30 am. Arrive at least ten minutes early to avoid missing the shuttle.
- Transportation is provided by the National Park Service. If an accessible option or other special arrangements are needed - please contact us in advance at 845-229-5320 at least 1 day before visit.
- This experience is not receommended for visitors under the age of 12.
- You must check in 10 minutes prior to departure time. Tickets will not be held and there will be no refunds processed if the shuttle departure is missed.
- Do I have to go on the NPS shuttle?

Please do not drive to the location as there is no public parking available and you risk a ticket. Seating is limited to 12 people.
