A Logan Pass Shuttle ticket is required for each person accessing the park’s Logan Pass Shuttle system. Tickets are valid for one day, and the valid date is displayed on each ticket.
Children aged 2 and older must have their own seat and their own shuttle ticket. Infants under 2 years old can travel as a "lap child" and may ride the shuttle on the lap of a ticketed adult passenger.
You may reserve up to 10 tickets per day. Glacier National Park’s shuttle bus season begins on July 1, and ends on September 7, 2026. A reservable ticketed shuttle pilot will be in place to service Logan Pass as a primary visitor destination, help visitors have a more predictable shuttle experience and manage congestion along Going-to-the-Sun-Road.
Visitors planning hikes from Logan Pass that will exceed 3 hours should secure a Logan Pass Shuttle ticket, as parking at Logan Pass is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.
Visitors can reach Logan Pass from the following areas using the shuttle system:
West Side Shuttle Service:
Starting Points: Apgar Visitor Center or Lake McDonald Lodge
Once boarded at one of these starting locations, the only stop will be at Logan Pass.
East Side Shuttle Service:
Starting Points: St. Mary Visitor Center or Rising Sun Picnic Area
Once boarded at one of these starting locations, the only stop will be at Logan Pass.
Tickets are non-transferable and photo ID may be requested to verify that the ticket purchaser is present. Tickets purchased outside of Recreation.gov will not be honored. In addition to a shuttle ticket, visitors must have a park pass. Park passes are available for purchase at Glacier National Park entrance stations or online at Recreation.gov. The park will honor annual and lifetime passes for entry including: Glacier National Park Annual Pass, Interagency Annual Pass, Interagency Senior Pass, Interagency Access Pass, Interagency Volunteer Pass, Interagency Military Pass, and Interagency 4th Grade Pass. If you have one of these passes, you will not need to pay for a Glacier National Park Pass, but you will need to have your pass available at the entrance station for verification.

Shuttle tickets are assigned to specific boarding locations and boarding times. This information is on your shuttle ticket. Shuttle riders should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled departure time. This will allow riders time to find parking and get in line to have their tickets validated. Ticketed shuttle riders are expected to be present and in line at their shuttle boarding location to have their shuttle ticket validated at the time listed on their shuttle ticket.
The earliest shuttle bus departures will begin at 6 a.m.
Visitors can expect to stand in a line and wait to have their tickets scanned and validated by a uniformed visitor service assistant who will provide passengers with a wristband.
Then a Passenger Loading Assistant will help them get on the bus. Shuttle parties may be split to fill every available seat on the bus. Passenger Loading Assistants will work to minimize the separation of groups. Busses will be loaded as quickly as possible. Once a shuttle bus is loaded and full, the bus will depart from the boarding location when it is safe to proceed.
The time listed on your shuttle ticket is the start of the ticket window. You may not enter the queue area prior to your shuttle ticket time block. Shuttle riders should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled departure time. This will allow riders time to find parking and get in line to have their tickets validated.
Shuttles cannot accommodate late arrivals. If you miss your assigned window, you will forfeit your ticket and will not be able to board a later shuttle.
Internet connectivity is limited. Please print your shuttle ticket, save, or screenshot a copy of the ticket to your phone before entering the park. The QR code on your shuttle ticket must be scanned to be validated. Shuttle tickets are non-transferable and photo ID may be requested to verify the ticket purchaser. The Apgar Visitor Center and St. Mary Visitor Center offers free public Wi-Fi. Internet speeds are variable. Lake McDonald Lodge and Rising Sun Picnic Area boarding areas do not offer Wi-Fi.
The redesigned shuttle system will serve visitors by taking them directly to Logan Pass. Shuttle routes have been simplified, serving ticketed passengers only, from two shuttle boarding locations on each side of the park and making stops only at Logan Pass. West side shuttles will additionally stop at The Loop for ticketed passengers traveling in either direction, back down to their vehicles or up to Logan to connect with East side shuttles.
The last westbound shuttles for the day depart Logan Pass at 7:30 p.m., descending downhill and stopping at The Loop, Lake McDonald Lodge, and Apgar Visitor Center. The last eastbound shuttles for the day depart Logan Pass at 7:55 p.m., descending downhill and stopping at Rising Sun Picnic Area and St. Mary Visitor Center. There are no other public transportation services available to return from Logan Pass to your parked vehicle if you miss the last shuttle.
Smoking, pets, and open containers of alcohol are prohibited on the shuttles. Bear spray must be safely secured, inside a pack, to prevent accidental discharge on the shuttles.
First Booking Window:
A portion of shuttle tickets will be available 60 days in advance, starting on May 2, 2026, at 8 a.m. MDT, on a rolling basis. Example: On May 2, tickets will be available for July 1.
Secondary Booking Window:
The remaining shuttle tickets will be available at 7 p.m. MDT for next-day entry starting June 30, weather permitting. Example: On June 30, tickets will be available for July 1.
A portion of tickets for each shuttle boarding location are available in advance. The majority of tickets are available the night before. Ticket use data from previous years has shown that tickets and reservations purchased the night before are the most likely to be used while tickets and reservations purchased months in advance are the least likely to be used. Given this trend, the park is limiting advanced tickets while maximizing night before tickets. The park encourages visitors to only buy what they intend to use and to cancel any advanced tickets purchased should plans change before the ticket date.
You may cancel your shuttle ticket up to 24 hours in advance. There are no refunds for the $1.00 reservation fee per ticket. If your plans change, please cancel your ticket so that others can book one instead. Modifications to an existing ticket cannot be made. You must cancel your ticket and secure a new ticket, all fees apply.
