The winter landscape of Voyageurs National Park is dominated by crisp white snow blanketing the expansive stretches of frozen lakes and hanging heavy on the pine boughs of the boreal forest. It is a winter wonderland longing to be explored. Whether sticking to groomed trails or venturing out across fresh snow on open lakes, Voyageurs National Park rents out a selection of snowshoes and cross country skis for visitors to set off on their own adventures.

Rental purchases are good for a single use on Saturdays and Sundays only and are valid between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., regardless of the time equipment is checked out.
Due to overlap in youth/adult sizing, inventory may be limited in some sizes. Call the Rainy Lake Visitor Center at (218) 286 - 5258 to inquire about the availability of specific sizes.
Pets are not allowed on park-maintained trails but are welcome on open frozen lake surfaces. All pets must be leashed and attended to while in the park.
