The "Art in the Park" series of events is hosted by the Indiana Dunes National Park in partnership with the Art Barn School of Art in Valparaiso, IN. Classes are open to beginners, and accessible to those with physical limitations. Each session features a different theme related to the National Park or dunes. Art Barn instructor Dori Huber will guide students through the process of painting a scene inspired by the dunes. By coming together our organizations are collectively able to accomplish a common goal of reaching more individuals through cultural programming that links art and nature together at the park's Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education.

May 10: The Thrill of Trilliums, Acrylic Painting, Ages 18 and up
June 14: The Healing Herb of Purple Coneflower, Acyrlic Painting, Ages 18 and up
August 9: Pleasing Pollinators (Monarch on Milkweed), Mixed Media, Ages 6 and up with parent or guardian
September 13: The Healing and Vitality of Bee Balm, Acrylic Painting, Ages 18 and up
October 11: Showy Goldenrod Puts on a Show, Mixed Media, Ages 6 and up with parent or guardian
November 8: Birches Ablaze, Ages 18 and up

Tickets for Art in the Park will become available 30 DAYS in advance of the tour date at 9 a.m. CT. The booking window will close 7 days in advance at midnight CT.
Cancellations must be made up to 7 days in advance of the entry date for refund. Refunds must be process through www.recreation.gov. No refunds for no shows, weather, or cancellations less than 7 days in advance.
