Seasonal Private Vehicle
The Sandy Hook Season ticket for Gateway National Recreation Area is an economical option for beach goers who plan on visiting Sandy Hook multiple times during the summer. This reservation permits the holder to occupy one standard (less than 20 feet in length) parking space within a designated fee area. Regardless of purchase date, ticket is valid from May 25th until the end of the 2024 season. Customers will obtain a physical pass upon arrival.
This Season ticket enables the holder to pay a single price for the summer and use the pass unlimited times per vehicle. This ticket does not guarantee entry when Sandy Hook has closed because parking has reached capacity or guarantee a spot in a specific parking lot. Ticket holders should not expect to have expedited entry through the Fee Plaza and should adhere to the direction of Fee Collectors. Ticket reservation holders will obtain a physical pass upon arrival during valid exchange hours. The physical pass is a hang-tag that can be moved between vehicles and Senior or Access card holders are expected to show their Interagency Senior or Access card when entering.

- Regardless of entry date listed on reservation, purchasing this ticket allows holder to pay a single price for the summer and use the pass unlimited times from May 25th through Labor Day weekend. Timed-entry ticket reservation does not guarantee entry when Sandy Hook is full and closed.
- Printed copy or digital version of the timed-entry reservation is required to be exchanged for a Sandy Hook Season Pass hang tag to be valid.
- Seasonal timed-entry reservations can be exchanged for the hangtag daily beginning May 5th, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Sandy Hook Entrance Station.
- Beginning May 25th, 2024, reservations can be exchanged daily at the Entrance Staiton from 8:00-4:00PM
- Valid on a single private (non-commercial) vehicle under 20ft in length. Hangtag must be displayed when parking in a designated fee area.
- This reservation does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed.
- Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
- Interagency Senior or Access Pass Holders
- Senior or Access Pass holders will receive a discounted rate on their entry ticket.
- Senior or Access card holders are required to show their Interagency Senior or Access card when entering.
- ID and Senior/Access Interagency card are both required for all discounted reservations.
