Cedar Breaks Park is one of four parks at Lake Georgetown operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It sits on the south side of Lake Georgetown in the Texas Hill Country, approximately 4 miles west of Georgetown, TX, and 25 miles north from Austin, TX. The park consists of an Oak/Ash Juniper Forest that offers beautiful wildflower displays in the spring. Park amenities include camping facilities, day use facilities, a boat ramp, and access to the Goodwater Loop Hiking Trail. There are 60 RV campsites in the park that include 20/30/50-amp electrical service, water, and access to a centrally located dump station. Online reservations for the campground will be available year-round.
The day-use area is open daily from 6:00 am to Sunset. A day-use pass is required to visit the day use area, boat ramp, and hiking trail access areas in the park. One day-use pass is required per vehicle and may be used at any of the day use parks at Lake Georgetown on the day of the purchase. Entry to the park is based on parking availability. Purchasing a pass does not guarantee entry to the park.
All day-use visitors at Cedar Breaks Park are required to purchase a valid vehicle pass. Please print out or download the pass on your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show at all times when visiting the park. If a pass cannot be printed, your license plate number will also be collected for compliance.
Entry to the park is based on parking availability in day use areas and is first come, first served. Purchasing a pass does not guarantee entry due to park capacity, but your pass can be used at any park on Lake Georgetown. Long lines for entrance to Cedar Breaks Park are common during peak season, on holidays, and during the summer months. If you exit the park during the day, re-entry is not guaranteed, as it is based on park capacity.
No Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass discounts are applicable. Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be cited and/or towed. Passes are only valid for the vehicle listed on the pass.
If an Annual Pass is purchased, visitors must trade a paper Annual Pass for the plastic hang tag to be used in a private vehicle. Please visit a Lake Georgetown gatehouse within 14 days of purchase to receive your physical pass.
