Big Bend National Park Site Pass

Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park charges an entrance fee. You may purchase a 7-day pass valid only at Big Bend National Park by selecting from the three choices below. If you are visiting other federal recreation areas consider purchasing an Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.) when you arrive at the park. If you already hold one of the accepted entrance passes you do not need to purchase any of the passes listed below.

Site Passes purchased on Recreation.gov are non-refundable and non-transferable. Only purchase this Big Bend National Park Site Pass if you do not plan to use another pass to cover the entrance fee.

This pass is only valid for entrance fees at Big Bend National Park.

Do you already own a pass? Big Bend National Park honors the Interagency annual and lifetime passes that are valid at federal recreation sites. If you own one of these passes you do NOT need to purchase a digital site pass. Visit Big Bend's Fees & Passes web page for more information.

All visitors are required to pay an entrance fee except youth 15 and under. This fee covers unlimited entry for 7 consecutive days, beginning on the start date you select. You do not need to purchase different passes for each day.

Most areas of Big Bend have limited or no connectivity. Passholders must either print a copy of this pass and display it on the vehicle's dashboard with the QR code visible or be prepared to present it to staff upon request.

Please be prepared to show a printed copy of your pass or a digital version on your mobile device.

Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.

If purchasing this for entry with a tour company, you must carry this pass with you.

The visitor centers at Big Bend National Park also collect fees, so if the entrance station is closed, please proceed to the visitor center to show your pass.

Purchasing this pass does not expedite entry in to the park. Expect wait times during busy periods.

Because Big Bend sits in the heart of the Chihuahuan Desert, summer temperatures are extremely hot. May through August temperatures may reach 110 degrees Fahrenheit daily, with heat indexes well over 120 degrees. Temperatures hit their peak by 11:00 A.M. each day, and remain extremely hot well past sunset. Visiting in the summer will greatly limit your experience.

Park conditions change rapidly. This pass does not guarantee access to any specific part of Big Bend.
