Station Description and Details
Take a scenic train ride through the Lackawanna Valley along the old Delaware & Hudson Railroad tracks to Carbondale, PA.
History: Carbondale’s present-day train station was built on the site of the Delaware and Hudson Seventh Avenue train station that was opened on February 1, 1896. Local and express trains, both north and south, from Carbondale arrived and departed from Carbondale on a daily basis. In the 1950s, as many as fifteen passenger trains departed daily from this station for Scranton.

This evening train ride will likely have low visibility. Train riders are reminded to remain seated, keep heads, hands and arms inside the windows, and to use care when stepping up or down boarding and disembarking from the passenger coach.
Not wheelchair accessible.
Check in at the ticket and information booth before proceeding to the boarding platform.
There is one restroom in each passenger coach. Limited facilities are available at the destination.
The train operates rain or shine, but may occasionally be cancelled because of severe weather events.
