African Burial Ground National Monument Tours
The guided Education Tour is meant for school groups, and is roughly 60 minutes in total. During the program, the ranger will present on the history of slavery during the Dutch and British periods and the history of the African Burial Ground and its re-discovery in 1991. Participants will be encouraged to engage in the program, ask questions, share thoughts and comments. The Guided AFBG Tour also includes a 30-minute Guided Outdoor Memorial Tour in the Spring and Summer, or a Guided Art Tour in the Fall and Winter. Students are encouraged to watch a site introduction film approximately 20 minutes in length prior to their visit.

The guided Education Tour is approximately 60 minutes in length.
Visitors must go through an airport-style security screening process. Visitors will be asked to remove all electronics and metals from their person to be screened.
There is access to restrooms and water fountains while inside the Visitor Center.
