Thomas Edison National Historical Park Tours
This guided walking tour is for academic groups of all levels, elementary school through university graduate programs.
The tour consists of a 1 hour walk through Edison’s laboratory and a 30-minute group activity, where students apply skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
When you sign up for an Academic Group Tour, you will receive an email within 5-7 Business days, where a representative will provide options for your tour and assist you in planning your visit.

This tour is reserved for schools exclusively. It is intended for Elementary, Middle, High School, and College.
The Idea to Product the Edison Way tours are approximately 90 minutes long, with most of the time spent indoors.
When booking your reservation, please ensure that you account for and pay the $10 Non-Refundable Reservation Fee
Entrance Fee of $15.00 charged when you arrive in the Visitor Center, at 211 Main Street for your tour. Apply for a Fee Waiver here.
Meet the guide at the Laboratory Visitor Center, located at 211 Main Street, West Orange, NJ. Tours begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please have your email confirmation form Recreation.gov to show your tour guide.
Visitors who arrive late will be admitted with an abbreviated tour.
Tickets will be released for sale 30 days in advance of the date of scheduled tour at 7:00AM ET until midnight the day before the tour. No tickets will be available for purchase the day of the tours or on site at the Laboratory Complex.
Thomas Edison National Historical Park is consistent with CDC guidance regarding Essex County, NJ transmission rates – please check the park website for the most up to date information about mask requirements.
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the Laboratory Complex, except for closed bottles of water.
