Cochiti Day Use Area Tickets
Cochiti Lake is located within the boundaries of the Pueblo de Cochiti Indian Reservation, on the Rio Grande River about half way between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Cochiti Dam is one of the ten largest earth-fill dams in the US.
Starting Thursday July 1, 2021 payments for day use fees for the Swim Beach and Boat Launch fees can be made either on line using the reservation system or on site upon arrival.
Cochiti Day Use Areas are open to the public for swimming, boating and fishing. No fishing is allowed from the Swim Beach shoreline. Please take time to ensure you follow all Pueblo regulations, and do not trespass on lands closed to public access. Cochiti Lake is a NO ALCOHOL lake. As per Title 36 CFR Section 327.12 (e): The possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages on any portion of the project land or waters, or the entire project, may be prohibited when designated and posted by the District Commander
Need to Know
- Day Use Area Ticket
Please have a printed copy of your Swim Beach Ticket or Boat Launch Fee Ticket displayed on vehicle dash while parked in Swim Beach Day Use Area or when launching a boat. Swim Beach Day Use fees and Boat Launch Fees can be paid on site using cash and cost $5.00 per vehicle.

Cochiti Lake is a NO ALCOHOL lake. As per Title 36 CFR Section 327.12 (e): The possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages on any portion of the project land or waters, or the entire project, may be prohibited when designated and posted by the District Commander.
- Pass Holders
Annual and Lifetime passes are accepted as your day use area ticket fee. See Fees and Cancellation section for valid entrance passes.
- Re-Entering the Day Use Area
You may exit and re-enter the Day Use area only for the date on your reservation ticket.

Booking Windows
Swim Beach Day Use fees and Boat Launch fees cost $5.00 per vehicle and may be purchased using recreation.gov or paid in cash on site when entering the day use fee areas.
Changes and Cancellations
All USACE Annual Day Use Pass and all America the Beautiful pass holders will receive free tickets, $2.00 reservation fee applies.
There will be no refunds for cancellations or no-shows.
Pass Holders
Please select your ticket type and you will be prompted to apply your America the Beautiful or USACE Annual Day Use pass information in the Order Details as you proceed through checkout. Although your pass covers the recreation fee for the day use area, pass holders are required to pay the $2.00 non-refundable reservation fee. Be prepared to show your annual or lifetime pass and your reservation ticket.
