Yosemite National Park Ticketed Entry
A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park on some days from April 13 through October 27, 2024, for those who are driving into the park anytime between 5 am and 3 pm as follows:
Driving through the park will also require a reservation if entering between 5 am and 3 pm. If you are planning to visit after peak hours, please do not arrive before 3 pm; vehicles blocking roads will be cited.
In support of the summer 2024 Peak Hours+ reservation system, Yosemite National Park is piloting license plate readers (LPR) to improve entrance station efficiency and to understand the effects of the reservation system.
Your reservation is valid for 3 consecutive days, beginning the day of arrival reserved. Visitors arriving on foot or bicycle do not require a day use reservation. Peak hour reservations must be purchased online at Recreation.gov or using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Reservations will not be sold at the park. Peak hour reservations are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and resale or auction of reservations is prohibited.
Only one peak hour reservation is required for the vehicle and all occupants. Visitors are allowed up to 1 private vehicle or 1 motorcycle peak hour reservation every three days. Reservation holder must be in the vehicle or on the motorcycle at the time of entry and prepared to show photo ID.
Photo ID and Pass must be presented at entry station with peak hour ticket confirmation or will be charged the full entry fee. Please be prepared to pay with credit or debit card only.
Please have a printed or digital copy of your peak hour reservation and photo ID available on the day of arrival and each day you reenter. Reservations are valid for three consecutive days beginning with the day of arrival reserved. Pass holders must provide Interagency or Park Pass for validation or will be required to pay the entrance fee, credit card and debit only.
Only visitors with a peak hour reservations may enter the park anytime of day. Visitors without reservations may not enter the park between 5 am PT and 3 pm PT.
Visitors with overnight reservations in the park (wilderness permits, campground or lodging) or a Half Dome permit will not need a peak hour reservation. Have your photo ID, Half Dome or wilderness permit, campground or lodging reservation confirmation ready to show at entrance station. Entry fee is still required.
If you cancel up to 24 hours in advance of arrival the reservation will be available to another visitor. Please cancel if not using reservation.The $2 reservation fee is non-refundable.
